Field Visit (9 July 2001)
Five sub-rectangular huts, a mound and an enclosure stand on a boulder strewn terrace about 270m NE of Sron na h-Iolaire and 360m from the shore in an area replete with similar structures (eg NM48NE 192; NM49SE 31). The structures are spread over an area measuring roughly 200m from N to S by 100m transversely. The largest hut (852; NM 49163 85725) stands at the N of the group and measures 3.6m from N to S by 1.7m transversely within a boulder bank 0.8m in thickness and 0.3m in height. About 50m to the S there is an enclosure (853), and a further 70m to the SE (at NM 4924 9005) there are three huts (60, 851, 856) and a mound (855), which presumably represents the remains of an earlier hut, while another stands a further 60m SW.
