Field Visit (5 January 2016)

This sheepfold is situated on gently sloping ground in semi-improved pasture on a terrace above the Limiecleuch Burn about 70m NE of a sheep shelter. It measures about 4m in diameter within a bracken- and grass-grown turf bank 2m thick and 0.2m high, which is encircled by a turf-stripping hollow 2m broad and 0.2m deep. It overlies traces of rig and furrow.

Visited by RCAHMS (ATW, HGW), 5 January 2016.
