Activities

Desk Based Assessment (6 June 2016)

Nothing is visible on an area of the south bank of the River Clyde now occupied by a company dealing in the export of ferrous and non-ferrous metal (John R Adam and Sons Ltd) of the timber depot depicted on the revised 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Renfrewshire 1915, Sheet VIII.SE). This shows the yard to have been over 9ha in size and fronting on to the western part of the recently constructed Shieldhall Wharf.

Information from HES Survey and Recording (JRS) 6 June 2016.
