Field Visit (May 1996 - June 1996)
Set against the base of a range of rocky outcrops, which face in a southerly direction towards the Garbh-allt burn are the ruinous remains of a group of at least 11 single cell structures. All are about 2.0m in diameter and vary in their state of preservation from mere outlines on the grass to perfectly preserved examples standing much as they must have been built. Entrances are visible in all but the most poorly preserved examples.
Some of the cells are free standing while others utilize large boulders as one side.
A well preserved group of shielings in a striking position.
