Field Visit (13 May 2015)
‘The Ferry’ is a restaurant and nightclub housed on a former ferry now permanently moored at Anderston Quay on the N bank of the River Clyde. It carried passengers between Yoker and Renfrew until 1984 when the vehicle ferry was replaced by a pedestrian-only service (see Canmore sites 349254 and 152850). The vessel now comprises the hull of the ferry with a glass and steel atrium superstructure. Between it and the quayside there is a floating platform and a covered gangway.
