Field Visit (1996)

Metal pipe in bolt-together sections, each of 3m long. , approx 30cms in diameter, extending from HWM into sea. The lower end is below LWM. It is supported at regular intervals by concrete bollards on either side of the pipe. Seaweed and gravel covered, under threat from accreting mud flats and cobble beach erosion.
