A burial ground is situated on the Balmadies estate, but there are no traditions of an associated chapel.
Statistical Account (OSA) 1791-9.
"The chapel (of Rescobie), dedicated to St Madoc, stood on a small knoll or hillock a little to the SE of Aldbar railway station, but all that remains of it is a small burial-ground, surrounded by a wall, the lintell of the doorway in which bears ANO MDCLXIX."

Previous to the Reformation a large part of the eastern end of Rescobie parish formed a separate parochial district. The church and churchyard stood on what is now Chapeltown farm. All trace of the building has disappeared.

There are 18 stones in the Chapeltown burial-ground, the oldest decipherable date being 1625.

On a hillock overlooking the Lunan Water WNW of Milldens there is a disused burial¬ ground. This may occupy the site of a chapel which served the E end of Rescobie Parish.
