Activities

Field Visit (17 November 2012)

A cannon, set muzzle down into the quay, now serving as a mooring post to which boats are tied. Local knowledge suggests that these were cast locally and intended for service in the Crimean War, but were flawed and unusable as guns, so turned into mooring posts.

Visited by Scotland's Coastal Heritage at Risk (SCHARP) 17th November 2012
