Note (24 July 2015)

A pillbox (possibly a type 24) lay on the terrace at the NW corner of Elgin City FC football ground. The pillbox is visible on RAF vertical air photograph 106G NLA/057.540 5128, flown 20 February 1943.

The pillbox was removed in the year 2000.

Note (7 May 2021)

The pillbox is shown on two photographs held in the collections of the Imperial War Museum (H 4805 and H 4810). The pillbox has been disguised to look like a building with a false roof and wooden W elevation and painted with the football club name.
