Field Visit (5 July 2013)

NH 64621 43721 (centred on) A desk-based assessment and walkover survey was carried out on 5 July 2013 in advance of the proposed development of a sports hub at Torvean. The survey identified a previously unrecorded possible burial cairn and post-medieval structures, and recorded a known settlement and boundary dykes.

Watching Brief (9 September 2014 - 11 September 2014)

NH 6462 4372 A watching brief was carried out, 9–11 September 2014, during the excavation of test pits for ground investigations ahead of development of the Torvean Sports Hub. There were no finds or features of archaeological significance recorded in the test pits. Two boundary walls,

Sites 9 and 12, recorded during the 2013 walkover survey, were evaluated during the monitoring.
