Field Visit (4 December 2012)
NN16185 91072 A desk-based assessment and walkover survey were undertaken, on 4 December 2012, in advance of the construction of a proposed hydro-electric scheme on the Allt Dubh, Achnasaul. The proposed penstock line follows an old shieling track leading to the headwaters of the Allt Dubh, but no significant archaeological features were identified.
