Activities

Geophysical Survey (17 September 2012 - 20 September 2012)

NS 79415 92436 and NS 79342 92039 As part of Scottish Archaeology Month a geophysical survey was undertaken 17–20 September 2012 at two locations associated with the Roman road through Stirling: Beechwood Park and Randolphfield. Randolpfield is also the location of two standing stones thought to have been utilised in a skirmish at Bannockburn. An anomaly which might be the Roman road was observed and a community excavation is proposed for 2013.
