Desk Based Assessment (7 January 2015)

Nothing is visible in an area now occupied by a promenade along the N bank of the River Clyde of either the narrow building measuring at least 150m in length which is depicted here on the 1st edition of the OS 25-inch Map (Lanark 1865, Sheet VI.10), or of the very much broader and longer ‘Goods Shed’ (NS56SE 2291) that replaced before the end of the 19th century.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS) 7 January 2015.
