NO53NW 9 c. 50 36.
There was a castle at Pitairlie (NO 50 36). The only remains of it is a stone built into the wall of the farm offices, bearing the initials and date AL:IC:1631. The lands of Pitairlie were owned by the Lindsays from the 15th - 17th century.
