Archaeology Notes

NO53NW 5 c. 511 381.

A stone lamp found in the wall of an old house at Craigton (NO 511 381) was exhibited to the members of the Society by John Sturrock in 1882.

This lamp, which measures 8 by 5 by 3 1/8 ins, was found in 1879; it was sold in 1889 along with another, also from Craigton, which measured 6 by 3 by 2 1/4 ins.
