Archaeology Notes

NO53NE 19 centred 5946 3861

NO 593 385. A magnetometer survey and trial trenching of c0.8ha of land at Nether Kelly, conducted by AOC (Scotland) Ltd and funded by Historic Scotland, revealed a variety of features reflecting prehistoric to recent use of the site. These included a possible timber souterrain (only partially exposed in a trench), ridge and furrow cultivation and an early 19th century stone conduit built to supply water to the former mill at Nether Kelly.
