NO 507 152. A flattened ovoid pebble of igneous stone, maximum dimensions 90 by 57 by 38mm thick, with a central hour-glass perforation, minimum diameter about 10mm, was found on the surface. Flakes have been removed (by use?) from both ends on one face. It is on temporary loan to St Andrews University Archaeological Museum from the finder, Mr Moroney, West Port Gems, St Andrews.

Watching Brief (4 December 2007 - 17 January 2008)
NO 5030 1530 (centred on) The watching brief was carried out between 4 December 2007–17 January 2008 in poor weather. The removal of topsoil was monitored during the construction of the new Community Hospital. The site revealed few features of archaeological interest apart from extensive evidence of medieval rig and furrow, which ran mainly on a N/S alignment.
