The site of Camusfearna, which was destroyed by fire in 1968. The cottage was owned by Gavin Maxwell.
There is one surviving cottage at NG 77225 14633.
Gavin Maxwell's ashes are under a boulder at NG 77213 14738 on the site of Camusfearna. The boulder is approximately 1750mm x 1500mm and 1110mm high

There is a cairn in memory of his otter Edal under a tree, this is located at NG 77227 14757 and is approximately 1250mm x 950mm and 1000mm high. The inscription on top is now partly obscured by pebbles and shells placed by visitors.
