This assemblage consists of material recovered from the scree slope of Edinburgh Castle immediately below the New Barracks and consists of rubbish and unwanted material apparently thrown from the windows by the occupants. In general the material tends towards the 1870-1880s and material from specific units can be identified.
Claimed as Treasure Trove case TT.73/08 and allocated to Edinburgh City Museums.
