(NO 4631 6070) Standing Stone (NR)

OS 1:10,000 map, (1972).

An unsculptured standing stone 1.7m high and 0.5m square half-way up, above which point it tapers slightly and inclines towards the N. Tradition says that it marks the burial place of a Danish general killed in a battle with the Scots here.
