Archaeology Notes

NO45SE 86 c. 456 507.

In 1760, a conical vessel, a 'bunch of arrows' and 'a pit of hewn stones' 1ft 6ins (0.4m) deep containing human remains was discovered (Reid 1902), a find which from the description most probably dates from the Bronze Age.

A T Simpson and S Stevenson 1981; A Reid 1902.
