Archaeology Notes

NO44NW 7 4010 4580.

NO 4010 4580. A fragment 1 3/10" long of a plano-convex flint knife - belonging to the 'slug' variety traditionally associated with the Food Vessel culture - was found in a field at Upper Hayston Farm in 1965 by A C Smith, 34 West High Street, Forfar, and is now in Meffan Institute, Forfar. Site indicated by farmer (J White, Upper Hayston Farm).

Surveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS (W D J) 12 January 1970; (undated) information from Dundee Museum Record card.
