Field Visit
"Situated on the north shore of Eilean Chalium Cille, on the north-western side of the summit of Creag Mhor immediately below the cliffs on its north side, this polycellular structure consists of three circular cells, eash measuring 2 metres in diameter, and standing to a maximum height of 1 metre. Arranged in a line from east to west the three cells abut each other and are constructed of drystone walls, each with entrances on their north side. This structure may represent the remains of a sheiling for transhumance or fishing, or possibly may be related to the monastic settlement known to have been sited on the island on its south side." (Burgess 78 and 79).
