Archaeology Notes

NO43SE 45 4663 3053.

Near Broughty Castle the site of a tower mill of eighteenth-century date. The structure illustrated by Malcolm (1910), was demolished in the late nineteenth century. It was a circular tower mill about 30ft high and 12 to 15ft in diameter, of rubble construction. It had a wooden windcap and five sails.
