Project (13 May 2011 - 16 May 2011)
A desk-based assessment and walkover survey were carried in advance of a woodland creation and management scheme. The work was undertaken to assess the nature and extent of any archaeology likely to be affected by the scheme and to inform recommendations for the protection and management of any sites. Several new sites were recorded during fieldwork.

NM 63318 61392 A stone-built sheep fank under grass and rushes with a small tree in the SE corner. The structure measures 20m N-S by 14m with walls 0.6m wide and up to 1.6m high. It is shown on the 1st Ed OS mapping.
