Archaeology Notes

HY62NW 17 6471 2981.

At HY 6471 2981 is a slight turf-covered mound, about 8.5m in diameter and 0.3m high, with three slabs on edge around the SW arc. Probably a cairn.

Surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS(AA) 19 July 1970.

In 1970 OS recorded a mound 8.5 in diameter and 0.3m high, with three edge-slabs on its SW arc. Recent improvement of the land has left the mound detectable, but the edge-slabs have gone.
