Activities

Note (17 September 2013)

Troon TA Centre was located between the converging railways on the N side of Portland Street. The centre comprised four building, the largest of which was a drill hall. There were two staff houses associated with the drill hall.

An aerofilms picture dated 1927 (Frame SPW019543) does not show the drill hall or houses.

The centre was demolished for road and retail redevelopment, but the two houses still survive.

Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 17 September 2013.
