World War One Audit of Surviving Remains (16 September 2013)

The Ardrossan drill hall appears on the 2nd edition OS 1:2500 map, built on a platform cut into the side of Castle Hill. A photograph shows the actual hall fronted by a stone, pillared frontage with an arch over the entrance flanked by round-headed windows. The hall has been demolished and only fragments remain.

Information from HS/RCAHMS World War One Audit Project (GJB) 16 September 2013.
