Site of Boring Mill, for making wooden pipes. It was built by John More, millwright and sawmiller at Abernethy, and operated between 1767 and 1772, when the business became uneconomical due to elm pipes being made cheaper in England. A 30ft diameter water wheel on the River Nethy turned the cutting implement which bored the pine logs. Another boring mill was located near Rothiemurchus (MHG20107).
