Not to be confused with Newport-on-Tay, Shepherd's Road, West Station (NO 4177 2726), for which see NO42NW 98.

This intermediate station opened (as Newport Station) on 13 May 1879. It was subsequently renamed East Newport and further renamed Newport on Tay East on 20 June 1887. The station closed to regular passenger traffic on 5 May 1969.
