World War One Audit of Surviving Remains (25 June 2013)

A large drill hall is marked "volunteer hall" on the 2nd edition OS 1:2500 map and as "drill hall" on the 3rd epoch map. It has been demolished. In 1914 "A" Squadron, Fife & Forfar yeomanry and "G" Company, 7th battalion Black Watch were based in St Andrews in 1914, but there were two drill halls in the town and it is not clear which unit was based in which hall.

Information from HS/RCAHMS World War One Audit Project (GJB) 25 June 2013.
