Activities

Field Walking (11 January 2013)

A walk over survey was undertaken prior to the erection of wind turbines. A stone dyke and small cairn were located. Quarry features including a quarrymen's shelter were identified at one of the 19th century quarries on the hill.

Information from Oasis (mas1-145737)

Note (21 June 2013)

A line of around 10 boundary cairns are located here, marking the boundary between the parishes of Kennethmont and Gartly. The cairns are depicted as 'piles' or 'piles of stones' on the OS map of 1867. It is unknown whether any remains survive.
