Sitename : Rough of Rewick

Note : Observed on aerial photographs at co-ordinates NGR 353954E 1012009N is the Rough of Rewick at Rerwick Head. It is an inter-tidal feature probably composed of bedrock and loose beach stones forming a spit or ayre. It is c. 60m long. The spit is possibly part of a fish trap enclosing a tidal pool. It is a similar looking feature to that previously recorded at Weelie’s Taing on Papa Westray.
