A garden area is present in front of Halligarth House beyond a D-shaped terrace, and there are clear traces of a path running perpendicular to the main door – an arrangement shown clearly on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey 6" mapping, although much of the original features are now lost.
To the northeast of the house, the site of the present day sycamore woodland, the area is depicted as a formal walled garden, with paths across the garden in NE-SW and NW-SE alignments.
