The modern house of Braichlie (Brackley: NO 37 94) is built on the site of the old castle of that name. Jervise notes that it suffered from the troops of General Mackay and probably from those of the Royalists in 1715 and 1745. Only a fragment of it now exists.

There is no trace or local knowledge of an old castle at the modern house formerly known as Brackley, now called the House of Glenmuick, at NO 3620 9455.
