SUFFERED ENGINE FAILURE AND DRIFTED IN HEAVY SEAS. TAKEN IN TOW BY M TUG/SUPPLY VESSEL 'GARGARNO', BUT TOW BROKE. WENT AGROUND IN FORCE 12 SE WINDS. BROKE UP ON GROUNDING NEAR BARD HEAD. 15 CREW RESCUED BUT WINCHMAN OF RESCUE HELICOPTER LOST. (SIBI, SHIPWRECKS OF N OF SCOTLAND) PHOTOS OF GROUNDING IN BOTH BOOKS.
