Field Visit (3 June 2012)

This gravel-pit, which is still in use, is situated immediately S side of the road leading up to the radar station on the summit of Cleitreabhal a Deas. Excavated into the E flank of a low rise, it is irregular on plan, measuring at least 35m from NNW to SSE by up to 15m transversely and up to 5m in depth.
