Place of discovery: NJ 3237 3928
Present location: within the church vestibule.
Evidence for discovery: found during grave-digging in 1925 lying horizontal at a depth of some 2m, about 9m north-west of Mortlach 1. The carving was on the underside, and the stone was broken into five fragments during removal.
Present condition: weathered
Description
The slab is incised on one broad face with the Pictish beast facing right over a developed form of the S-shaped symbol.
