This mineral depot is depicted and named on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map 25-inch map (Edinburghshire, 1896, sheet 3.03) to the south of WArriston Junction of the North Bristish Railway Line (Edinburgh, Leith and Granton Branch). Cranes (possibly hand-operated) are depicted at NT25286 75224 and NT25294 75194.
