Note (22 September 2022)
A new war memorial in honour of Force K6, an Indian detachment of the Royal Indian Army Service Corps, was unvieled on 20 September 2022 and lies immediately to the SW of the existing Kingussie war memorial.
Force K6 was a detachment of a transport unit that used mules to deliver supplies to front lines. They were based in the Cairngorms and elsewhere in northern Scotland for training in mountain warfare. The memorial remembers 14 men who died in Scotland, nine of which died whilst training in the Cairngorms and whose bodies lie in Kingussie Cemetery.
