External Reference (2011)

Underground Royal Observer Corps observation post situated near the school and war memorial. It opened in 1959 and closed in 1991.

The ROC post was one of several on Skye from this period, designed to monitor during nuclear attack. Others were situated at Kilmore (called Ardvasar), Portree, Dunvegan, and Uig.
