The lands of Lochmalony, with the manor place, etc, appear in a royal grant dated 9 February 1608.

NO 3671 2006. Lochmalony House, the earlier part of which dates from the 17th century, is in use as a residence. It is a rectangular building, c.12.0m x 7.0m, with later (probably 19th century) wings added to the N and S, producing an H-shaped plan (J Cairns, owner, Lochmalony House).
