Field Visit (3 April 1997 - 3 April 1997)

A substantial wall of large boulders has been made at a point where the Allt a' Bhuilg has previously burst its banks. It is over 3m wide by 3m high. It has been partially eroded by the burn. It is not shown on any of the OS maps.

This revetting wall was almost certainly built after the building above, at NG 9565 1710 (NG91NE 9 Achadhinrean), was inundated by flooding some time after the 1874 OS mapping work.
