Activities

Field Visit (3 April 1997 - 3 April 1997)

At the N end of Loch Shiel there are short lengths of an irregular stone dyke, c1m wide and up to c0.4m high, running towards the river Shiel. In total c90m of walling was recorded. The lengths form an incomplete barrier, but they could be the remnants of a former township boundary contemporary with the dykes at Achadhinrean (KIN037) and mid Loch Shiel (KIN039).

Information from NTS: KIN041 (JH and JW) 3rd April 1997
