Field Visit (2010)
Alt Na Lairige power station is a relatively small station using water from Alt Na Lairige Dam (NN21NE 5.01) to run a single turbine in response to peak demand. The station formed part of the second phase of development in the Sloy catchment from the later 1950s onwards. This is a relatively standard example of a smaller power station, containing a single turbine. The building was enlarged in c. 2005 with an additional rendered bay containing office accommodation.
