RCAHMS Archaeological Field Survey, Shetland (Unst/Walls)

This sheep shelter is situated in rough moorland pasture 300m SSE of Da Broch. It comprises a curvilinear length of drystone wall, which is open to the NNE and measures 27m across the mouth by about 8.5m in depth. A second wall extends S for a distance of 20m from a position just E of the midpoint. The shelter is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Shetland 1882, sheet XLVII).
