Note (1990)

NO25SW 18 2363 5004 to 2367 5002.

On the S side of the Hill of Alyth there are four mounds, their date and purpose are unknown.

The northernmost is a low rectangular mound measuring 12.7m by 5m. Immediately to the W side there is a shallow rectangular depression from which the mound material appears to have been derived. The second mound overlies a cultivation ridge 50m to the SE (NO 2367 5002); it is circular, measuring 8m in diameter and 1.2m in height. The remaining two mounds are described under NO24NW 53.
