Aerial Photographic Interpretation (1 June 1992 - 30 June 1992)
NO24SW 45 2266 4369.
Aerial photography has revealed a complex group of cropmarks on the edge of a terrace overlooking the S bank of the River Ericht. At the core of the complex there is a circular enclosure measuring about 20m in diameter within a ditch which measures up to 5m in breadth. An additional arc of ditch on the SE has the appearance of a souterrain, while two other sinuous markings to the WNW may also be souterrain-like structures. Traces of other pits and structures are visible on the WNW side of the enclosure, including a possible ring-groove.
Information from RCAHMS (SH) June 1992.
