Visual inspection of the site: Photographs: Measured.
This building is shown on the first (1875) and second (1897) OS 6-inch (Argyllshire and Buteshire sheet xliii) maps as roofed. Miss Donaldson in her book "Wanderings in the Western Highlands and Islands" published in 1921 states that it was ruinous by that time. It is a little smaller than the building to the west from which it is separated by about 2.5 metres. There is a faint outline of a stony internal division suggesting that it was byre dwelling. Only the footings are now apparant although part of the back wall appears to have actually been the rock of the hillside.
