Archaeology Notes

NO24SE 57 c.261 429.

Although Coupar Angus abbey (NO23NW 13) held the lands of Arthurstone, they formed part of the grange of Balbrogie (NO24SW 54). There is no evidence to suggest that there was ever a grange at Arthurstone, nor is this suggested by Easson.

Information from RCAHMS (PC), 27 November 1989.

D E Easson 1947.
